How to Get Here

The closest airport to Chop Point is in Portland, Maine. The Portland Jetport is about 1 hour South of Chop Point, and campers are met at the airport by a staff member before being transported to Chop Point. The next closest airport is Boston, Massachusetts’ Logan Airport. Unfortunately, since Boston is about 3 hours South of Chop Point, parents must make their own arrangements for campers to be transported to/from Portland. Bus and Limo services (Mermaid Transportation: 1-800-696-2463) are available from Boston to points North such as Portland and Brunswick, Maine.

From New York City
Take Interstate 684 and 84 to Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90), leave Mass. Pike at Interstate 495 and head north to Interstate 95. Take Exit 6A (So. Portland Exit) to Rt. 295. Continue on Rt. 295 to Exit 31 (Topsham/ Route 1). Turn right at the top of the exit ramp and follow signs to Route 1.

From Bath, Maine (ROUTE 1) to Chop Point
1. After crossing the Bath bridge into Woolwich, drive a short distance before turning left onto Rt. 127 North.
2. After traveling north on Rt. 127 for two miles, take a left onto Rt. 128.
3. After traveling north on Rt. 128 for 5.2 miles, take a sharp left at Chop Point sign onto dirt road. Chop Point is located at the end of the 2 mile road.
